Well, I can see why Selmer named it the 'Jazz Flow'! It seriously does flow! I'm super impressed with this mouthpiece; two tip openings, a 5 and a 7, and they both work brilliantly, each offering their characteristics. Of course, Selmer has a worldwide reputation for producing great mouthpieces, and up to this point, it's fair to say largely adopted by the 'classical' world. They are laying down their marker by labeling this one a 'Jazz' mouthpiece. As far as I'm concerned, they've got it spot on. When blowing it for the first time my immediate impression is that it has a phenomenal response level. The overall tone is full, on the brighter end of the scale, and bursting with vibrancy; equally, it offers a massive response in the mids and lows. From this point of view, it feels like it can do everything, and it makes you want to just keep on playing it! Further to this, due to its superb response, it allows the sub-tone to be fully present and easily accessible. Great job Selmer!
