A revelation for the modern-day saxophone player. 

Distinctive designs offer players beautiful tonal colours. The new Custom Z soprano models are reminiscent of vintage Yamaha soprano saxophone designs. Made of a special lighter weight brass alloy with a "single piece" body construction so there is no neck join to compromise resonance.

The brass body is left unlacquered and plated with beautiful bright silver plating. The lack of lacquer does mean occasional cleaning with a silver cloth is required in order to maintain the finish. However, the added layer of resonant precious metal gives more projection and a wonderful extra dimension to the sound.

This is an incredible new instrument from Yamaha - this sax instantly wows with a very dynamic and broad tone. I finally feel that Yamaha have produced a soprano that sits among the best within the market. The more you take time to play this the more tonal possibilities you discover. These silver plated Custom saxes are Yamaha's best kept secret! The cream of the Yamaha crop as far as we and many of the Yamaha endorsees are concerned.
