What a beauty of a new baritone from Yanagisawa! The bronze gives off a lovely warmth and body to the tonality. I think that Yanagisawa’s desire to constantly improve, despite their already extremely high standards is admirable. I find their entire WO series of baritones an absolute joy to play – the sound is the most responsive of all baritones I’ve ever tried; playing down through to the lowest register feels like an effortless process, and mechanically it is a dream!
