Customise your Francois Louis ligature with these alternative pressure plates
The Francois Louis Pressure Plate Kit comes with 3 different plates, offering slight variations in tone and response. The kit also comes with a small allen key and spare screw for attaching the plates to the ligature frame. These plates can be used with either the Francois Louis "Ultimate" or "Pure Brass" ligatures.
The kit contains one of each of the following:
Stainless steel: For a free, light & flexible sound with a quick response. Appreciated by players who prefer a brighter more focused sound.
Solid brass: For a deeper tone with more resistance. Appreciated by classical players, or those who prefer a darker, fatter sound.
Rubber coated stainless steel: The ideal compromise - The responsiveness and flexibility of stainless steel, but with a darker timbre.
