FREE BLOWING, EASY TO PLAY, AND EXTREMELY FLEXIBLE

There is no doubt that Jody Espina knew exactly what he was doing when designing this mouthpiece. His HR is something of a modern classic. There’s a really nice warm, rounded and smooth sound, a nice free blowing feel with great consistency throughout the range of the sax. On top of that, it also responds extremely well when pushed, delivering bigger and better projection than the vast majority of ebonites. The HR* is aimed at professionals and students who are after a well-made and versatile mouthpiece without breaking the bank. For its price, it’s an absolute bargain! 

Please note: This mouthpiece is slightly slimmer than standard baritone mouthpieces. Therefore if you are wanting to purchase a ligature to fit it, we recommend one designed for hard rubber tenor mouthpieces.  Alternatively, you can accessorize your Jody Jazz HR* with a JodyJazz Power Ring Ligature & Cap – Sax for a more free blowing and resonant response.

If you're after a Baritone piece that can do it all, this is it! A nice free and easy response with just the right level of resistance, and the comfortable feel of hard rubber! While it may not carry the same level of power as other mouthpieces in the JodyJazz range (such as the Jet, Super Jet, or DV), the HR* excels in its versatility.
